Coffee Cherry

Also known as: coffee cherries

The fruit of the coffee plant. Each cherry usually holds two seeds — the coffee beans.

Cherries ripen from green to red (or yellow, in some varieties). Only ripe cherries make sweet coffee, so careful pickers often pass over the same trees several times during a harvest.
