Also known as: total dissolved solids

Total dissolved solids — how concentrated a coffee is, usually around 1.2–1.5% for filter coffee and 8–12% for espresso.

TDS is measured with a refractometer. Combined with the dose and the beverage weight, it lets you calculate the extraction yield.
